About Us
No one should have to navigate adulthood alone.
The Village OC was created from a simple belief: young adults aging out of foster care deserve to have people in their corner as they step into adulthood.
We’re building a village of mentors, volunteers, and local partners who choose to show up and stay connected. Through monthly gatherings, one-on-one mentoring, and connections to resources in Orange County, we’re creating a place where young adults can build relationships and know there are people they can turn to.

Why We’re Here
Most of us have people we turn to as we figure out adulthood. Maybe it’s someone we call with a question, or someone who’s been around long enough to offer perspective.
Young adults leaving foster care may enter adulthood without that same support network.
The Village OC exists to help change that.
Our Mission
The Village OC connects youth aging out of foster care with a community of committed mentors, caring volunteers, and supportive local partners to foster stability and cultivate a sense of belonging while empowering them to pursue lives of purpose, resilience, and hope.
Our Vision
We envision a community where every young adult leaving foster care is known, valued, and supported through lasting relationships, entering adulthood with a deep sense of belonging, agency, and the confidence that they are not alone.
Our Story
After spending more than a decade working in social services, our founder, Ashley, experienced the strength of her own village: friends, family, and her church community surrounding her with prayer and tangible support during a time of profound need.
That story revealed God’s heart for belonging and became the inspiration for The Village OC. What began as one person’s experience is now a shared mission: ensuring young adults aging out of foster care receive the same kind of faithful, steady support.
